It's either W2 salary permanent full time (or 40 hours week consistently, permanent full time W2) and it instantly counts in 99% of scenarios OR for self employed / contractors / gig stuff they typically want 2 years on tax returns, since 90% of new businesses and enterprises fail within 2 years.

Someone who was really enterprising could probably get a few bucks out of the bank beyond their deposit as a penalty. - If it was a sale based on a tax lien, in which the government was forcing the sale, and they allowed a sale to go through, then they are responsible.

You also have to deal with government messing with free enterprise (rent control, screening rules, eviction rules, no source of funds rules that implies having to deal with inspections, etc.).  

The entire wholesaling enterprise is based in this fundamental deception.

A legit enterprise (like Tesla) would build a factory first, iron out all the production problems and then start building more factories around the country.

Unfortunately, that phase of my life when I could take such a task on is gone but I am sure enterprising young bp members can make it happen.
