Change the type, you can have legal and tax issues.What I see, IMO, after reviewing various real estate compliance issues effective today, is that we have an orchestrated effort through federal and state agencies to tighten up real estate transactions.

But what I think will happen is that a lot of these tech companies will stop getting funding as the VCs and public markets begin to tighten their belts with all this turmoil happening in the markets.

She now resides in a condo and it's less of a strain for her but letting a home go to foreclosure when it's avoidable isn't an option I agree with?  

Our ultimate goal is to relinquish our ties to the house, one way or another, whether that ultimately be through foreclosure, or through some more preferable scenario.I've already come to grips with the hit on my credit / potential hit to assets - it's just more important to get out from under the strain / burden of the situation and move on at this point, than anything else.  

I am wholesaling here in DFW and with the market tightening up and becoming a sellers market it seems like there are less deals out there.

The strain of doing tasks you do not like is a big strain.

Before the Mint tightened the reigns on how many you could buy, you could purchase $15K at a time for their website.  

@Charles Greene that strategy has worked for many investors and still can today but with the increase in OOS investors, the limited supply, and the tightening lending market, run your numbers conservatively.

Secondary market is in shambles right now so every lender with a secondary department is tightening on credit, ltv, programs and of course raising rates accordingly as much as possible to protect the lenders.

Personally I think it's a terrible idea to try to manage your parents' finances IF thats' going to lead to a lot of strain in the relationship.
