I just learned there are ceramic tiles and there are subway tile backsplash, that you can just peel off and stick (I think).  does it matter which one I go with?

Property had broken windows and missing windows (literally there was a sheet of plywood over one window), 1 houses had a huge missing section of shingles, all houses had peeling paint, duct taped linoleum floors, leaks under every sink etc etc.

If it's in flooring material, I don't know.Remediation by a certified expert is really expensive and you basically need to seal off the offending areas, gown up with masks and then put it a shielded drop box and pay a ton for disposal.So removing it to be removing it is not my first choice.

Depending on the age of the old roof, if those layers start to peel or buckle, it'll affect the new roof on top and just isn't worth it to us since we warranty the work.

It's also much easier to replace than tile in case a piece gets damaged, provided you use the adhesive style (not peel and stick) instead of the click together type.
