He ultimately won a multi Million dollar lottery so I guess he got the last laugh I guess, but I was laughing while he worked for me because his business shut down and he was working for me.

I look at it as paying $80 to turn nothing in my hand into potentially something.Or you're turning $80 into nothing, you might have a better return from $80 in lottery tickets. 

This is why we call it an investment not a lottery ticket.

People with bad financial discipline win millions in the lottery and still end up broke.
