After many podcasts and books (Rich Dad Poor Dad, Richest Man in Babylon, Set For Life, Book on Managing Rental Properties, Millionaire Real Estate Investor, 4 Hour Work Week and a few more) I went ahead with the heloc and started looking for my first true investment property. 

My personal income/expenses don't look great -- I'm currently asset-rich and income poor. 

@Rich Jordan The pricing is going to be all over the board depending on what company you go with, types of meters available, if your plumbing is separated already or if it needs to be (depending on company or meter type).

My answer is going to sound like I'm being a smart aleck, but I own real estate in the United States, Japan, Hong Kong, China, United Kingdom, Australia, Singapore, Sweden, Canada, and Germany.

I also network with various agents on these caravan tours.Well all of this is great, a lot of social media real estate "gurus" are peddling the "get rich through real estate" scheme via Wholesaling.

I feel the need to point out that I know this is still an undertaking that requires a great deal of work and knowledge; I don't want anyone to get the idea that I'm looking to "get rich quick" or anything of that nature.

He thinks you're rich because you own property and can toss cash at him to shut him up.

I’ve read most of “Rich Dad Poor Dad” and also halfway through “The book on Rental Property Investing” written by our very own Brandon Turner.

Luckily my children are both 2 and younger so i have some time before i reach that point.After my shift in thinking i read rich dad, poor dad and confirmed i was not indeed crazy. 

I do however have a copy of an excellent list that mentions a lot of the common books, such as Rich Dad Poor Dad, EMyth etc.
