Some have value, most are just peddling snake oil.Because of the feedback I found here on BP forums, I hired an awesome window / guard service based out of Chicago to protect a property under renovation and I avoided altogether a national wholesaler business here in Atlanta.

Kanwar,There are companies like Critter Control, etc... that come out for animals such as this; raccoons, snakes, squirrels that get caught up in the attic.

Chances are it's not just the washing of sweaters in this instance, probably added to it, but normal use will clog a drain and I agree as to what you said, pull the drain apart and clean it, then run a snake down the main drain for a bit to make sure it is clean.

It's said that REI is local but I'm not tied down anywhere and looking to move for my first investment in a house-hacking situation with 5% down for however long and then move out again to maximize cash flow.I am based out of South-Western Ontario but I'd be willing to go as far North-West as Thunder Bay (coincidentally, I am typing this from Thunder Bay right now) and I could get away with as far East as the Québec border.I've been trying to gather information about different markets around Ontario but it's slow going.

Maybe something easier and more short term: get a photo for my account :) Since the start of the year i have been voraciously consuming material on real estate with BP podcasts and two books, have been building my network in many Canadian/American areas (thank you BP community), and have started to study a number of different markets (Squamish, Kelowna, Thunder Bay Ontario, and Edmonton) to try and find my best options.
