You can take out of your IRA,  401k or have it gifted to you but you can't borrow from Lending Tree for example and use it as your down payment.

@Samantha Pancoast I haven't looked a lot in to them but there are several peer to peer lending/crowdfunding services like 'lending tree' and 'lending club' that may be an option for you?
