And once married, seems like nowadays the engagement ring is simply a status symbol, so I opt to no engagement ring and wear a solid band (yellow gold or white gold depending on my outfit) when I choose to wear a ring at all...it's just not important to either of us what others think.

@Catherine Peters so a few thoughts. 1) to "mention" someone type the @ symbol followed by the first three letters of their name and a drop down list will appear with those that match.
