It’s a market where cash flow is achievable without needing a massive upfront investment.

I have a STR in Truckee that has done very well and I am looking for another STR, was thinking of the Sacramento market but I hear conflicting info on the permit process and the ability to rent it out for more than 90 days a year as a STR. 

I looked into this at more than one occasion, because Milwaukee has such an old housing stock, everything is 60-120 years old.Most of the new apartments we see are 4 and 5 star developments with very high rents, this allows to offset the high cost of construction a little better.

Also, check out if there’s any new development or improvements happening nearby, as that can boost property values.

Hopefully we will be managing a handful of other STRs in the same market in the future.

I know i built 4 in the Ocala market and permits were very long year or more very frustrating ..
