- Drain pool, cover pool- Run HVAC for 10 minutes, AC/Heat- Leave refrigerator slightly open- Run all water fixtures and flush toilets a few times- Drain and turn off water heater - Have gardener specifically look for rodents intrusion Any and all ideas on additional long-term storage welcome.

The house is a little remote and so going to the front door, or even their neighbors, somehow seems a little more intrusive.

The inspector pointed out the following:- Clogged gutter(s): one had tree roots growing inside- Caulking and/or cementing needed on outside of the house to seal gaps- Filthy crawlspace with water intrusion (possibly due to clogged gutters).

I had some concern that tenants could be put off by the experience, as it's intrusive, but we had a great inspector who introduced himself, reiterated that he wasn't there to inspect their possessions or how they live, just make sure things were in working order, and it turned out fine.
