NAS Oceana in VB is a master air base and the largest on the east coast...I would not count on it being closed anytime soon as the city of VB & the Navy have both continued to make efforts to insure the two get along.  

@Steven P Daugherty I would recommend looking at East Hill, North Hill, East Pensacola Heights, Cordova Park and West Pensacola (Navy Point) near NAS Pensacola.

The NAS is trying to bring the hammer down on wholesalers by lobbying local and state governments to ban or regulate wholesaling.

if you see something in Pensacola you like I suggest to move VERY fast on it also to look in milton near whiting field or nas pensacola if you want military.

If you try and reach the #1 officer at a base the size of Ft Hood or NAS Mayport, good luck.

Properties near Pensacola NAS (West Pensacola, Perdido Key) and Whiting Field (Pace, Milton) will be more in line with the numbers you'd expect if you intend to buy-hold-rent with "liveable" 3/2's in that <$150k range.

@David N. as with any real estate deal, it all depends!

There are some multifamily properties for sale in and around NAS-JRB in NW Fort Worth, but prices have gone up in the last few years.Multifamily rents lag a bit behind clean, move in ready single family properties.
