The best setups have:5-11 members (ideally 6-8).1 bedroom per member.1 bathroom for every 3 members.Look for properties with these specs:6-8 bedrooms.2-4 bathrooms.Ample parking (street or otherwise).Detached houses fit this formula beautifully, but other property types can work too.

If you want to swing for the fences, that 3 yr, value-add deal with floating rate debt may be the right fit.  

Depending on area, coverage needs I have seen varying carriers best fit the policy needed.

If the deal fits your parameters then go for it, otherwise skip it and find another.

There are recommending screening companies on there that you can look into to see what best fits your screening needs.  

A turn-key provider would be a company that can handle everything from sending you deals that fit what you're looking for, assist in getting you pre-approved for a loan, rehab (if needed), management, and maintenance. 

Unique pieces are great for "Flair" and individuating your property but if it fits in a suitcase and isn't fixed to the wall or floor then it will not be long for your STR.
