The ATI exemption is a provision in South Carolina’s tax law designed to alleviate the financial impact of property reassessments triggered by transfers of ownership.

It’s a 3 bedroom home, brand new build and just shy of 1500 sq ft.

I had similar thoughts as to why they would want to take over payments on a brand new mortgage at a high rate.
