1031 Exchange for a small business?

Hi All,

Is there such a thing as doing a 1031 exchange or a small business. For example if I sold my business then used the proceeds to acquire another one or several?

If there is a real estate component of your business - sure. I've worked with investors who sold the business and then sold the real estate to the business separately and they've exchanged that portion.
