But I'm worried that it will show stains like wine, lemon or vinegar.

1) You can get the hardwater stains out by draining the toilet, then fill it with white vinegar and let it soak. 

Tried downy, the scorer, scraper, soap, vinegar, hot water, etc...

You have to use much more concentrated acetic acid to get the job done and of course the yard will stink of vinegar, but it makes the average organic fanatic happy at a slightly elevated cost for faster equipment degradation.

Bowl of vinegar in the room, sprinkle baking soda on the flooring and any spaces that may have been exposed.

Two thirds distilled vinegar, one third Dawn. never fails.

Some vinegar for water stain removal is in order. 

I've sprayed it multiple times with heavy duty vinegar to help cut it down, but of course it's continually being fed water. 

Unfortunately unless you're willing to file a complaint or suit and it comes out in the discovery phase i doubt you'll ever know for sure.as far as your next steps i think you should approach the broker and let them know you'd still like your offer submitted but approach it with honey not vinegar even though you may feel understandably slighted. just try some smooth talk and charm.
