It is complete BS and in my opinion a clear violation of a person's 4th amendment rights of unreasonable search and seizure, but I'm not the person who is going to fight that fight in the courts. 

The owner is selling because the HOA just amended the rules: no rentals.

Currently, one seller is dragging his feet on getting us information and signing the amendment he agreed to.  

I understand the amendment, and I also understand that it's a common scapegoat for the stupid actions of numerous individuals.

Whether the seller is willing to make amends depends on how strong the market is if you walk away.
