Not many other fields allow for this kind of "salary" without any formal education and/or years of formal apprenticeship to get to that level.You have to put in a lot of time and effort and really bust your hump to get there.

You cant bring a million dollars worth of gold with you on an airline to another country, yet you can do bring a million dollars in bitcoin on a USB drive.

We are now past that hump of experimentation, we are now in a time or considering do we want to bring all staff back into office, not "we need to", and with that comes the consideration of cost vs benefit.
