In the past I've brought a few LED utility lights (or shop lights will work) to bounce light in the room to help it feel more spacious.  4000-5000K temperature lights will help give you a daylight/office feel 2700K will generally give a nice warm cozy feel.Good luck with the rental!

What is the temperature  of  the investment market in Jersey now for flipping is it just hard or super hard to find deals?

We have been diy all the renovation stuff, and my husband has a construction background.I'd like to be able to have each floor have control of their own temperature- both in that they'd have their own thermostats AND that one unit could kick on their heat without it blowing in the other unit, as well.

I knew that our demand weakened when temperatures reached 100 degrees and people sought cooler climates.Since rates are lowest during our low season, the fear of not being able to make the monthly nut was a concern.

If you're talking about the physical temperature, I don't blame you.

It's okay to refuse to fix holes in the floor (not the floor covering, something you could fall through) or the front door knob that won't lock or latch, or the heater that doesn't work in below freezing temperatures because you know the tenant is powerless to do anything about it?

Due to the cold temperatures and the furnaces being turned on, sudden shifts in temp/humidity/pipe leaks are happening all over the place.

Composite generally has no maintenance, maybe an occasional broken board as it wears from sun damage and temperatures changes but that's like 10 years or more down the road.  

Climate controlled or temperature controlled?  

Its those killer months when the tenant bails out three days before Christmas, turns the heat completely off and busts all the pipes only to have the temperatures jump to 60 degrees two days later.
