To get there you take a boat from a small town in either Minnesota or Michigan.

I’m currently visiting my family in Zenda, WI, a tiny town just south of Lake Geneva and on the border of Illinois.

I have made a few when i was in town years ago.

The same build on one lot does not equate to the same price on a lot on the other side of town.

Lean on your real estate agent to help you if you're out of town but set some guidelines for what qualifies your tenant outside of pets/no pets.

I live in Las Vegas and operate close to 30 MTRs in town. 

@Eric S. new britain. that is your answer. i invest there. i spent my whole life in CT besides the last few years. i know the area well. i own a few multi-family properties there currently. i went CCSU in new britain and lived in the town for 10 years. its an incredible source of cash flow and, in my opinion, the current mayor is doing all the right things. i actually see growth happening in that town, compared to the rest of CT that is struggling. happy to help in any way i can. just let me know!

I just walked a turnkey property that beats the 1% here in town.

I started in Real Estate investing in 2013 when my daughter went to college ( first investment was student rental), i still own that house and several others in the town, not all student rentals. i look at this as my retirement in the near future and my kids inheritance should i ever pass.

You still would need to pay all the taxes and set things up completely with the town just like any STR.
