.- I sold my last place in Burlington about 2 years ago and have since looked into smaller college towns along the interstate.

I was thinking the same thing a far as amenities go, most likely place would be to find a run down block that is already near the main interstate, possibly a train station, and that already has some amenities such as 7-11 and fast food even if they are not the type of business we hope to have there in the future.

It probably went back and forth, right to left, 4 or 5 times and then I knew the next one would go full circle or start rolling over on the Interstate.

@Jason Butcher I have always wondered it Hagerstown would be a good place to invest as two major interstate roads and railroads service the area.

Jamiel I was able to negotiate a lower interst rate(2%) with my mortgage company back in 2012, so I doubt there's any more favorability on the interest rate. 

I'd never heard of listing agent lender preferences before - Definitely worth remembering, to try and get an advantage over interstate investors.

The area is industrial with the Amazon distribution center, the local power company's main headquarters, rock quarry, and a new pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in the works, all within a mile or 2 and 2 major interstates.
