(if not in a ROTH, you could still control how much you withdraw while it still compounds tax free)To make that same 75K on after tax income in retirement while having it in taxed accounts you would have need to have earned a 20% return up until retirement order to have about a 940K nest egg so that that same 12% return in retirement would net the same amount after taxes.

Same as with flooring, they say $599/install but if your flooring needs prep, a little bow, or anything, they skyrocket the price, in short, they are playing the odds that your project will have upcharges but you are desperate to get your job done.

I have also heard (not sure if true) that some bank compound interests twice a month and that making two payments a month would significantly decrease the overall amount of interest paid over the life of the mortgage.
