It's pretty easy to look at potential candidates' prior work and ratings that they've received from previous employers.Another option you could do would be to set up a Google Voice account.

I was a bit surprised because I really was not talking to anyone, if anything they were coming to me and voicing their displeasure, and honestly I was neutral.

I have been listening to you talk like nonstop for a week - is that weird to think about - all of us BP addicts go on total listening binges and get to hear your voice in our heads when we are thinking about deals, etc.?  

Set up a Google Voice account and get a free local number.

Also, you might want to consider setting up a voice message where your message would filter even more callers to leave you the most qualified ones.

Of the 8 you leave voice mails for, I bet 3 or less call you back and 2 of those won't be within the first 24 hours.

You must find your own voice and learn from your mistakes.
