Chris L. Should I get a variance before selling? Would it increase value?
1 July 2017 | 1 reply
Chris,Yes, it would cost you for the variance, you have to go to the zoning department, fill out paperwork and pay a fee. you will also have to notify residence within a 200 foot radius of what you are doing, then go before the zoning board to plead your case for their approval for you to do so. something to thin k about - do not lower your price - make the agreement of sale contingent on the building getting the variance. if he wants the property that bad he will pay for that variance, otherwise move on to another buyer.
