Good Morning and Happy Holidays, I have a question for all investors, and very curious on your perspective's regarding this philosophy.

If you follow Dave's investment philosophy, he states to save 15% for your retirement.  

You asked a follow up about philosophy/strategy and in this I'm just another schmuck with an opinion.  

Bob,My philosophy may run counter to some but I don't like the word retirement.  

Be it money lost in time or cold hard cash just like Jay Hinrichs mentioned in a comment above.So my poll has proven itself to be valid ;)Without going into to much more philosophy I'd just like to say that some disagreeing with my post is awesome especially since I started this one.Their comments entertain the audience and bump up my post to the top of the thread.My name get's seen more often and so does that of my business.I have received 7 colleague requests and 5 messages along with numerous inquiries through our companies website with the last 24hrs heheSo by all means, please keep disagreeing with every single one of my posts.I suggest putting my name "Engelo Rumora" in your keyword alert and whenever I post something, just disagree with it please heheMuch success

So whatever the philosophy is that you want to use just make it an informed decision and it will be the right one for you.

Rob, thanks for your reply.Really only looking to discuss the idea of the management requirements and the mechanics of executing a 50/50 split - not everyone's philosophies on partnerships or what everyone would view as "worth it" as I've been through this on other posts.This post is just about executing the 50/50. 

After getting my bachelor's degree in philosophy in 2007, I wasn't quite sure what I wanted to do.

While I too am a fan of investing locally when you start out, if you need to look elsewhere to find viable opportunities...I would spend a lot of time learning the experience and investing philosophy of the professionals that will be guiding you through the process (Realtor, loan officer, inspector, property manager, etc.) 

I take the philosophy that you must be consistent and persistent to achieve your goals and this holds true inside and outside the weight room.
