I'm not sure if this is the place to ask this question, but if not please move to where it should be.My Mother-In-Law is a Pastor of a small church here in Texas. 

Not everyone would understand, but I've done this to get a better feel for future investing and the environment in which I will be farming.  

My family is seeking to purchase a multi use farm.

If you don't have a deal, "Hey, I'm working this farm area to locate distressed properties, is it an area that you are interested in?"

My wife and I are looking at our 1st purchase in our farm area of choice. 

I have done a 203k on a farm house that wasn't occupied since the 1970's- so you can imagine the shape that was in but once the house was done we had put up a 3300 sq ft house- it was amazing.  

I looked at subdivision after subdivision of pipe farms.. were I could buy lots for 1 to 2k a piece..
