That is why I'm a huge proponent of investing locally, where you're familiar with the neighborhoods, the values, the living experience, the politics, the economics, the demographics, the crime statistics, (stop me anytime :mrgreen:).

I was hoping someone could direct me to a website ( or other information resource) where I can find the total amount (in acres) of raw land sold in the US during the past five years and where the bulk of it was located.

Probably not....There are thousands upon thousands of agents that used 2003-2004 statistics to sell a property in 2005.

Does anyone have/use a website for learning out population statistics in different areas?

I've been trying to look up housing statistics in the area but it's been harder to find than I thought.
