I went out and bought the most expensive air respirator and scrubbed the s*** out of the entire house.

That, to me, is worth a lot more than $75 in spackle, paint and labor.Now if they did $500 worth of gauges and need a gallon of paint, that's a different story.For #2, no, I don't paint in between every time, but I do have a cleaning crew scrub down the walls and get as much 'scuff' off of them as possible.My .02.

Their wives routinely post pics of their well-scrubbed, well-turned-out kids on Facebook, Instagram shots of their youngest babies, all to cooing approving comments from their moms...and I can't help but think the wives are obviously living their middle-class dreams with the right mule plowing away in the background to fund it all. 

It just looks dirty, irregardless of how clean it actually is.I've tried scrubbing and scrubbing it, but it won't come off.

The perception that "crowdfunding" is only for scrubs is completely nonsensical.
