I understand there are many limitations to short-term, or even mid-term rentals down there now, but hoping to see some insights on areas where I might see more of a demand.

I think most people would agree that a single family home is better than a condo for a long term rental.

A couple of things I like to tell my newbies-Owning a short-term rental property can offer significant financial benefits.

Never think twice about it.If we are making some or all of a mortgage payment for a few years on a vacation rental, it's only the interest that is lost - the rest is paying off the asset, all while the asset continues to go up in value through the years.I hear ya man, but I want something that is flowing positive in addition to any appreciation.
