@Mark Fries @Fred Krauss @Casey GregersenTough love time here.I'm going to share some excellent advice I received from my favorite law school professor many years ago.He said don't spend your energy trying to skirt the laws.He said: Learn what the laws are and then figure out the best and easiest way to comply with them and to use them to your advantage.I think that applies here.If you need a real estate license, then go get one.End of story.

As long as I can think and type with either hands, voice recognition or the tech that Professor Hawking uses, I can make money and if I can't think I won't care if I'm living in a cardboard box.

An interesting opportunity just came up- I received an email from one of my professors saying there's an appraisal firm near my home looking for an appraisal intern for this summer.

If there is a news story about the economy they run to our local state university and have the professor of economics give his opinion....story done!

I actually interviewed multiple professors at the college I was attending for tenancy in the House!

I also am a full time teacher and a part time adjunct professor at Miramar College.  

What you should not use: I had a professor a few years ago who, when characterizing Zillow, described it as being "porn for real estate investors".

I've been a serious student of sales for many years, ever since one of my college professors produced a student who sold the pet rock that started a craze, the year before.
