It's what the bill already says and it's what is scaring most short-term rental owners.Typical politician....he's lying as usual.

Once more the politicians are providing a solution for something to which there is no problem.  

., my mother decides to move to Texas, lol), I'll probably continue to focus on Rhode Island where I'm registered to do business, where I reside, where I have a lot of good contacts / contractors / business partners /etc.It's very easy for politicians to talk about big infrastructure projects, much more difficult to actually make them happen (ahem Big Dig ahem :).

@Nathan G. fortunately most tenants are able to decide for themselves the difference between right and wrong despite the crazy things politicians, activist groups, and now even Zillow!

You could argue it is risky to buy property anywhere under the logic that politicians could change the rules.

People like politicians have talked for years about wanting to improve the Southern sector, but much of that talk seems elusive. 

Crazy left city politicians who want to provide everyone affordable housing (and I am a democrat, but clearly more moderate than our city council). 

There is a fix, but unfortunately, the politicians will not allow for the fixes to play out.

I am starting to feel very uncomfortable with the unfriendliness to California landlords, politicians are considering making the whole state rent controlled.  

Despite the already borderline abusive tax structure, I would not trust the NY politicians to leave the taxes as is.
