The young newbies in an office get all kinds of silly things to do sitting in the office when things are slow for them, some might say busy work.There is always someone who thinks they can out smart auditors and investigators, many live rent free!

I feel I am checking off a box of .0001% of investors, being that 99% of people have a home insurance or renters' insurance and don't live rent free in someone else residence. 

North shore has some very good towns, especially if you want to do a live/rent kind of thing.

Marie Poe  I am not sure anyone is saying their children will starve if they allowed someone to live rent free, or even slide for a few months.

@Remington LymanLots of new transplants coming from CA and WA, so the residential real estate is “hot”, depending on which part.

I’ve seen this “ house hack “ where you’ll get a FHA loan , buy a duplex then rent it out and live rent free with the tenants you rent out to.

Utah's traditionally conservative bent is slowly changing as more transplants move in.

A large part of the reason for this is the massive migration of Bay Area transplants who are looking for more affordable living.

Sac prices seem to be continually skyrocketing with the influx of Bay Area transplants and investors, but sounds like a great opportunity for a house hack if the bank of mom and dad is open for business.
