As such, I assess the % of neighborhood turnover by evaluating things in person.If you want to start with looking at city data to get a grasp on macroeconomic trends and the job market, I think that's great, but once you hone in on a specific area I would suggest investing the time and money to travel out there and get a feel for specific streets before you put money into a deal.

My concern really is trying to get a better grasp of the neighborhoods on the ground there. 

The first thing you need to do is to really get a good solid grasp on what your building & holding costs are going to be and dont forget soft costs.

I really want to grasp this. 

We now live in CA, so we don't have a great grasp of the current DC market.  

I have gotten to the point where I am familiar with common terms and I think I have grasped the basics, now I want to get more hands on.

I hear this term “Spread” on BP podcast episodes and can’t grasp the concept.
