i had to have the exterior basement wall dug out, sealed on the outside with a membrane, and new french drains set up.

I don't think mold is an issue.as far as the drainage system goes we put in what is like a French drain.

If you are below grade you can install a French drain with gravel in it or you can get a condensate pump to pump it out.
