If we are going to an urban locale typically we are out after breakfast, say 8am and typically got back until later in the evening. 

So I would start looking on Craigslist, FB Marketplace and OfferUP for nice used USA made stuff.Our dining set and breakfast nook set are both made in USA out of oak.

Maybe we could do a Bed and Breakfast thing though? 

Tim,We started with stuff off Craigslist and then have replaced most things with new for our Lake vacation rental on Homeaway.comYou might not need as high end of stuff if you are doing the Bed and Breakfast route.You can do Shabby Sheik for either by refinishing furniture off Craigslist.I would buy nice new mattresses and put mattress pads on them to protect them.

Meetup.com is a great site/app that people use to post local events, I've found a bi-weekly entrepreneur breakfast in my area and several REI meet ups as well.I hope this helped.Best of luck to you!

It is definitely well attended usually, so you might have some networking opportunities that you don't get at meetings or breakfasts.

If you have never been here then come do a day trip and start by eating breakfast  in downtown Austin then just drive to Wimberly , then to San Marcos, to Gruene, to San Antonio all without getting on I35.
