My case is that I the available land it’s narrow and I can only place a 27-28 wide MH to meet the set backs of the city of Shelton, WA and I found a brand new MH on Factory Expo, Oregon for $47k 3 b 2 bath, but the main entrance is located on a side so I don’t know how aesthetically might that affect the fact that all the houses around have the main door facing the street and my MH will not.

They will increase the appraised value and as long as they are designed aesthetically, many part of the US, especially those with high electric bills, have seen increases in home sales with solar on the roof. 

It is much nicer aesthetically as well as much lower maintenance. 

I work in the Portland, Oregon area and can tell you that if done with aesthetics in mind, solar can definitely be attractive.

However, I do not have materials science background, so I cannot speak to anything but aesthetics.  

In the 1/3 year we've had our STR, these things seem to be the most important to our guests:1. location (folks appreciate being close to Pigeon Forge AND Gatlinburg)2. cabin-feel (they like the log cabin aesthetic and prefer that over traditional construction materials and styles)3. hot tub is a must. 4. stocked kitchen... many folks just eat out, but quite a few like to buy groceries and cook, so having the right pots, pans, utensils and spices has won some hearts and minds.5. view... the better the view the more they'll appreciate the time they spend on the property. whether that's just trees, or a ridge line, or the full majesty of a mountain range.Good luck in your search!

Nor should you buy an STR an underinvest in the interior aesthetics, outdoor experience and photos.

Knowing the fastest and most affordable ways to add to it ie flooring, paint and aesthetic.
