Additionally, with the City adopting the IBC 2015 and inspectors becoming increasingly difficult to work with, we've labor costs go up and soft cost on the design & engineering side go up as well.

My situation feels like a 747 with engines out, trying to maintain altitude.  

Also, certain demolition like removals of load bearing walls will require engineers and or an architect.

I asked how can I get confirmation that the new language is acceptable by their engines.
