You have to see how old the oak tree is and if it is at full maturity and height.As the tree grows and the roots get bigger and it searches for more water it can wreak havoc on a driveway.I have seen trees totally bust up a driveway and the whole section has to be replaced.1,000 sounds really cheap compared to the estimates I have seen.Is the driveway long and flat or hilly and windy??

I do think it is interesting the blowback he has gotten this year because he was certainly more overtly religious in college than he has been in the NFL, and fewer people rooted against him then.

Any number of things could be causing it - tree roots uplifting part of the foundation, frost heave affecting foundations of different depths, differential settlement, etc.
