The key for me was to realize that the consequences of my worst fears were really rooted in pride and not in financial ruin.

So now I’m going back to my roots and getting back into real estate investing.

We have funds to rehab, but don’t want to bite off more than we can chew with deep rooted issues.Specifically been eyeing Chelsea, Quincy, areas of Dorchester, south Boston, and possibly Salem.To make the numbers work, it seems as though duplex is out of the question in the area while turning a live-in profit? 

I'm now thinking that the neighbor's retaining wall, which is quite substantial, may be the root cause of the problem. 

Some older buildings the trees were planted to close to the buildings for the height size and can cause roots in utility lines, sidewalks popping up, animals access to the roof, cracking the foundation, etc.
