We are military and are thinking about investing in one back in the city I am from to use as an AirBnb when we arent back home visiting.

I will be getting out of the military in 11 months and am going to be using my GI bill to pay for schooling.

I had my agent run CMA in the zip codes I would like to invest in and for the past 6 months, the sold price were about 15-20k below the final listing price (listing price were between $180k-200k) due to some of the properties are either paid in full and kids just selling off what they got from their parents or military members who are just trying to break even since they got orders and don't want to deal with renting it out or losing money. 

Determine what niche my military lifestyle fits around...?.

My investment income actually matches my military pay right now, but I will probably continue to stay in until I hit that 20 year retirement.

For those looking to connect with sellers in military markets, you always have to keep in mind that the cost of homes is substantially lower than that of the larger metroplex's that neighbor each market.

I served as an Ombudsman for VFA-11 in the past and we are both very familiar with military family needs.   

Unfortunately, I was involved in an auto accident late last year which is forcing me to be medically seperated from the military and I will likely relocate to Texas near family.
