Selling a property that requires significant work can indeed be challenging, but there are several avenues you might consider exploring:Local Real Estate Agents: A local agent with experience in selling fixer-upper properties or historical homes in your area could provide valuable insights.

That is a great place to start, as well as hitting some local real estate investor meetups so you can meet some other house hackers in person who have done what you want to do.

I totally agree, big investors can go nationwide, but knowing the ins and outs of your local market makes all the difference.

Investing locally in the Bay Area will come with higher acquisition costs, but appreciation can still build wealth long term, so don't be weary if you're property doesn't cash flow right now the bat.
