Winter is so so. it’s a 1 bed 1 bath hotel room garden view Just wondering if these are ever profitable? 

Have and have had 100+ year old properties which can be a lot of fun and a challenge too.

Yesterday I spent 4 hours at my new build project with the under house cleaner ( which as we know is not the most fun) .. and doing warranty work ( I am the warranty department since my GC  wont do it my wife wont do it etc).

It was so fun!

As long as you are willing to learn, I am sure you will RE easier tech... and I bet more fun too!

I think with lower cost properties it would be fun to snowball cashflow into more free and clear properties.

Real estate investing is great and a lot of fun.

But don't take yourself too seriously, make it a game you play for fun and profit.it is your job as an investor to get to their base-line price - you can only do that by asking questions and getting to the right answers.Questions: how long on the market and how - agents or FSBO?

If I have a beach house that is booked heavily in the summer but not in the winter, I could have a house in the mountains that would still be booked in the winter to offset the lack of income from the beach houseCons- Harder to manage from far away- Would need to stay familiar with laws in each areaAny thoughts?
