I have hire a branding company to brand my business with a name, website and logo.

I would make a professional advertisement with my logo, phone number, website address etc.That is a good amount of exposure for $400 dollars but the place mat are not focused at all.  

I am in the process of getting a logo designed.

Mine is through that big blue logo on each post and my signature line.

Or can it be something catchy like the rest of the hot start ups in silicon valley that rely on logos and branding?

I'm usually in a fully decked out handyandy truck so readily identifiable...you might consider the same....but at least get a decent business card with a nice logo to pass out.  

You might pay $65 for a polo shirt, but you might buy the same shirt out of the same factory without the logo for $12.00, but what people buy is perception, it plays to their ego, not common sense. 

My team is currently working on a slogan to tag along with our logo.
