As a landlord this post title gave me chills.

I own a restaurant building that I leased to an restaurant operator who has been an utter nightmare.  

Wealthy tenant pays huge rent like clockwork and doesn't bother me (though she is utterly non-communicative and clearly does not like me or my property manager and avoids all contact with us).

REI can be frustrating, demanding yet utterly awesome and rewarding.I assume you want to own rental property based on the books you got.

All the energy being directed to try and get the state to make the bank report differently on credit seems like an utter waste of time.
