To me using low-interest leverage is the best thing about investing in real estate, as well as forcing appreciation but that is a more active strategy than most comparable investments.

I would like to have an active earning real estate job so that I can fund buying rental properties.

The housing market in Bali is very active, with yearly rental ROIs of 25-40% being quite common.
