I think they actually meant ESA instead of service animal.Anyway, I spoke with my insurance broker who gave me the list of prohibited dogs (and I know, you can't discriminate for breed for service or ESA dogs) but he pretty much told me that I would not be able to get coverage for those breeds which should qualify as an undue burden ???

If they are prohibited breeds though then your insurance may not cover you if something happens.

However, is there any renters' insurance that the tenant can obtain that will cover the bulldog based on animal history as opposed to based on breed?

Our homeowners policy does not cover bites from aggressive breeds (she is an akita/pitbull mix). 

It is not "reasonable" to put a Pit Bull in your apartment if your insurance company is going to cancel or jack up your rates because of a "dangerous breed" animal."

Hello all,I'm not sure if this has been discussed on the site prior but just had a question about aggressive breeds and rental properties.  

@Sean Kollee I agree with you, city inspectors are a breed of they're own. 

My wife tells me they're this special breed of redneck that will not take any feedback, no matter how eloquent, well.
