Have any of you who own or owned multifamily buildings experimented with providing outdoor storage space such as a shed or lockers?

Is the room dedicated for commerce or is it part storage shed?

I believe this is for non rentals but I would think it would apply to rentals, Hopefully one of the tax gurus in this forum will be able to shed more light on this.
