I agree that it's a shame to remove slate though because it's such a beautiful roof surface that is extremely resistant to the rough New England weather: wind, hail, freeze/thaw cycles and even fire resistant which is why it is valuable (that and a new slate roof is ridiculously expensive).

Also that everyone agrees a correction is due, although we don't know when.My question is, does it make sense to still pursue multifam right now (and hedge the purchase as best as possible w/price/terms) or look at other asset classes that are though of to be a little more recession "resistant?"
