I think if you're going to be in a partnership in REI it takes character and humility to work effectively with other people, just like any other relationship.With that being said I am branching out to take down some deals on my own, but I also maintain my relationship with the investment group and do deals with them.

I've participated in over 30 syndications deals and what's loud and clear is this is a "team sport", build your brand / leverage others that have that experience you want by being a key part of a team and this will greatly accelerate your brand assuming you are choosing right partners (character, ethics, smarts, experience, etc).
