There are many ways to build and customize the containers to make the home look really modern and nice so I think it's great for short term rental.

This is not rocket science.

Since the only things I have seen so far that weren't holding up are those they have been done in the last decade, I would have to lean way towards the 93 yr old parts being much safer than the 13 yr old crap.Of course, I had to mention the whole part about it being a fire trap, which seems to be what helped burn Chicago down back in the day, But with modern tech, that shouldn't be as worrisome as back then.Anyone with anything you think I should know, need to , or what to know about balloon framed houses.  

Historic preservation is not an issue, so it could be completely demolished and modernized.

These modern routers will handle multiple users and multiple connections much better than earlier devices.

You probably know this already but just for the sake of anyone reading this thread who doesn't... regarding electrical: that 70A panel will need to be replaced, especially if it's Federal Pacific Electric (FPE) , Zinsco, GTE-Sylvania, Westinghouse, or contains any stab-loc breakers (usually with with red stickers) which fail to trip and are prone to starting fires. 70A is not enough for modern power consumption as it is, 100A is now the minimum per code, or even better upgrade to 150A or even 200A service since you have AC.

I’m sure it’s not rocket science though. 

The bulk of my time and energy drain on this one was finding hardwood to best match 60yr old soft fir 'hardwood' flooring, figuring out how to blend old asbestos tile siding patches with something modern and the main drain and in-wall dryer venting. 

Copper/pex and pvc plus modern wiring plus good condition, then age in theory should not be a big concern.

If you're flipping the property I'd demo and rebuild the floor to modern standards with new materials.
