Its tough to chart a course if you don't know the destination...

How can you know the path if you don't even know the destination?

If you're doing an STR, are you in a desirable travel destination?  

Don't be scared of doing the PM yourself..... its not that hard when 95% of the time everything is on cruise control.

In addition, Columbus is home to some of the nation's most prestigious universities, such as Ohio State University, making it an ideal destination for both students and professionals.

Another quick cheat method is go to a new build model homes in your area (trends are geographic) they usually have 3 styles of finishes you can choose from, just snap a picture so you can decided latter on your dream home (LOL)I also cruise zillow/ mls for other flip houses in my area and save pictures of the style I like. 

My wife and I were both in the Air Force and have recently got out and now are in real estate full time as investors and agents in Destin, FL and Los Angeles, CA.

Only issue with that is its a few miles down the road and pretty inconvenient for guests (especially who may come in at night from a cruise ship down there) to then drive passed the place to deal with the keys.

Some is indicative of the market and some out of necessity, some want to go on a cruise and vacation for 6 months
